You experience a drop in blood pressure when moving from lying/sitting to standing, have a history of heart attack, or experience syncope (dizziness).
You are allergic to alprostadil or any other ingredients in this medication.
You have a condition that might result in a prolonged erection, such as sickle cell anaemia or trait, polycythemia, thrombocythemia, multiple myeloma, or leukaemia.
You have an abnormally formed penis or have inflammation or infection of the penis.
You are prone to venous thrombosis.
You have been advised not to have sex for health reasons, such as heart problems or a recent stroke.
You have a hyperviscosity syndrome, which could result in a prolonged erection.
Your partner is pregnant, could become pregnant, or is breastfeeding unless you use a condom.

What are the side effects with Vitaroa 3mg/g cream?

In the sexual partner (if female), mild vaginal burning or itching, or vaginitis may occur. This effect may be due to the medication or the act of vaginal penetration. Using a water-based lubricant may help to make vaginal penetration easier and reduce side effects.
