What is Priligy 30mg?

Priligy contains dapoxetine, which is part of a class of medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It’s also referred to as a urological medication. Priligy works by extending the time before ejaculation and enhancing control over it, which can help alleviate concerns or frustration about premature ejaculation. This medication is intended for the treatment of premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64 years.

What is the active ingredient in Priligy 30mg?

Each Priligy Tablets contains 30mg of dapoxetine as the active ingredient.

What is Priligy 30mg used for?

Priligy is used to treat premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64 years. Premature ejaculation is a common sexual dysfunction where a man ejaculates too quickly during sexual activity, often with minimal stimulation. It can lead to distress and frustration, impacting sexual satisfaction for both the individual and their partner. Priligy helps increase the time to ejaculation and can improve control over ejaculation, addressing this issue effectively.

How does Priligy 30mg work?

Priligy contains dapoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) specifically designed for treating premature ejaculation. It works by increasing serotonin levels in the nervous system, which enhances the neurotransmitter’s action at pre- and postsynaptic receptors. This action helps to delay the ejaculation reflex and extend the time it takes to ejaculate, providing better control over ejaculation. This mechanism helps improve control over ejaculation and reduces the distress and frustration associated with premature ejaculation.

How do you use Priligy 30mg?

Always follow the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist for taking this medicine. If you are unclear about the directions, verify with your healthcare provider.

  • The starting dose is typically 30 mg. Depending on your response, your doctor might increase it to 60 mg.
  • Take the medication 1 to 3 hours prior to expected sexual activity.
  • Avoid taking this medication more than once within 24 hours.
  • Consume the tablets whole with at least one full glass of water to avoid a bitter taste and to decrease the risk of fainting.
  • Priligy can be taken with or without food.
  • This medication is not intended for use by men under 18 or over 65 years of age.
  • Review your treatment with your doctor after the first 4 weeks or after 6 doses to decide if you should continue. If you do continue, reassess the treatment with your doctor every six months.

If you take more Priligy than recommended:
